Social Production of Urban and Regional Spaces

This project strives to conduct studies and research aimed at developing, systematizing, and operationalizing methods of historical-structural-conjunctural and multiscalar analysis. These methods enable more comparative-relational approaches that can inform public policies.

Through successive approximations, building theoretical and historical, abstract and concrete mediations in a spiral manner, the project seeks to analyze the internal-external relations of the dynamics and contradictions between space, capital, labor, social classes, and the state.

It aligns with the critical intellectual legacy, aiming to recover and defend the view that addressing the issue of social class reproduction is essential to understanding the contested social production of space and the urban-regional dimension of the uneven capitalist development process.
