Nathália Figueiredo de Azevedo is a PhD candidate in Urban and Regional Planning at the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning and Research (IPPUR), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She holds a Master’s in Territorial Development and Public Policies from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), a Specialization in Municipal Public Management from the Federal Fluminense University (PNAP/UFF), and a Bachelor’s in Public Management for Economic and Social Development (GPDES) with an emphasis on the governmental sector from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She also completed part of her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, through the Ibero-American Santander Universities Scholarship Program.

She has experience in Public Administration, having worked as a Substitute Professor in the undergraduate program in Public Management for Economic and Social Development (GPDES)/UFRJ. Nathália develops research and consultancy in the areas of Urban and Regional Economics, Public-Private Governance, and the Formulation and Evaluation of Development Projects and Public Policies. She is a Research Professor at the Laboratory for Connected Citizens with Local Institutions for Sustainable Development (LCIDS)/UFRRJ, CNPq, and is also a student member of the Research Group Space and Power, CNPq.

With over a decade of experience in research, development, implementation, and evaluation of Public Policies, she has been a consultant for the Rio + Social Agreement between the UN and the Pereira Passos Municipal Institute of Urbanism – IPP Rio. She has provided technical consultancy for the Pereira Passos Municipal Institute of Urbanism – IPP Rio, ISER – Institute for Religious Studies, República.Org, International Observatory on Youth, Foundation for University Movement for Economic and Social Development – Mudes Foundation, Open Knowledge Brazil, and João Goulart Foundation of the City of Rio de Janeiro.
