Neoliberalization, Crisis Conjuncture in Dependent Countries and Their Spaces
This is a Long-Term Research Program, an umbrella project that unfolds into various subprojects, aiming for a structural, historical, comparative, relational, and comprehensive view of our field of expertise (in the context of the discussion of Urban and Regional Theories: dialogues with the Global North and requalifications of Latin American sociospatial thought?). Its guiding question is: How can we create friction between the theoretical worlds of the social production of space and Latin American critical thought, engaging with the frontier of the Global North, its interpretations of the various transformations of 21st-century capitalism, and the current profound crisis, while aiming to articulate and support a research program on the sociospatial specificities of Latin America and the opportunities for orienting Urban and Regional Planning policies in Brazil?
