The Regional Development Dictionary and Related Topics, organized by Marcos Paulo Dhein Griebeler, in its 3rd Edition, includes 413 entries and 235 authors. The 1st Edition, featuring 165 entries, was launched in 2017. The 2nd Edition, revised and expanded, was released in 2021. In this 3rd Edition, the dictionary is “offered free of charge to anyone seeking to objectively explore topics that interact with and influence daily life, whether collectively or individually, even without prior awareness of the subjects covered in this collective work. This new version includes expanded and updated content, with a total of 413 entries that succinctly express the concerns of both the organizer and contributing authors regarding the impact of human activity on the globe” (Marcos Paulo Dhein Griebeler, Organizer).
Hipólita Siqueira, Professor at IPPUR and Coordinator of the Space and Power Research Group, authored the entries “Celso Furtado: Federalism, Planning, and Regional Inequalities,” “Urban and Regional Planning,” and “Policies for Regional Development.” The entries “Regional Scales” and “Place” were written by Professor Carlos Brandão.
